HKISO : HONG KONG INTERNATIONAL SCIENCE OLYMPIAD EN/ AR

competition, regarded as one of the strongest worldwide. It aims to spark curiosity and a
spirit of discovery, enhance understanding of scientific progress over centuries, encourage
the integration of ideas and disciplines, and inspire the pursuit of truth. One of the key
components of the competition is the “Scientific Experiment,” where participants create a
short 5-minute video on a specific scientific topic. Participants from around the world can
also share their scientific knowledge with one another.
Subjects Covered:
HKISO consists of four main categories: Physics, Biology, Chemistry, and Integrated Science.
These categories closely follow the scientific curricula taught in schools around the world and

their strengths and areas for improvement.
