MYP (Middle Years Programme)
International Baccalaureate Programme for Students Aged 11-16
The MYP is one of the educational programs offered by the International Baccalaureate (IB) organization. It is designed for students aged 11 to 16 (typically grades 6 to 10) and provides a comprehensive and challenging curriculum that aims to prepare students for success in higher education and life beyond school.

Interdisciplinary Learning

Global Contexts
Curriculum organized around six global contexts that help students explore real-world issues and connect learning to the world around them.
Approaches to Learning (ATL)
Strong emphasis on developing students’ skills for learning: critical thinking, research, communication, and self-management skills.
Service Learning
Students engage in service projects to apply knowledge and skills to benefit communities, fostering social responsibility and civic engagement.
Assessment
Includes both formative and summative assessment. Students complete a personal project as a culminating assessment.
Language Learning
Core component where students study two languages (mother tongue + second language) to develop proficiency for global citizenship.
🎨 Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS)
Similar to the Diploma Programme’s CAS component, the MYP also includes opportunities for students to engage in creative, physical, and service-oriented activities outside of the classroom, promoting holistic development.
Programme Aims
The MYP aims to foster critical thinking, international-mindedness, and a love of learning. It provides a structured, inquiry-driven educational experience during the middle years, setting a strong foundation for further studies in the IB Diploma Programme (DP) or other educational pathways.
