What is the DP Programme?

The IB Diploma Programme – A Rigorous Pre-University Pathway for Ages 16-19

📚 Six Subject Groups

In addition to the core components, DP students study a range of subjects from six subject groups:

1. Language & Literature

Study in the student’s best language.

2. Language Acquisition

Language B or ab initio (beginner’s language).

3. Individuals & Societies

History, geography, economics, psychology, etc.

4. Sciences

Biology, chemistry, physics, computer science, etc.

5. Mathematics

Analysis, applications, or standard level.

6. The Arts or Electives

Visual arts, music, theatre, or an additional subject from groups 2-4.

Based on both internal (school-based coursework, projects, orals) and external (written exams graded by IB examiners) assessments.
